About

Renegade’s Meat Processing was established in 1978 by Billy Myers and focused on the processing of deer for the locals. As a fellow hunter and farmer, he created an establishment that reflected his standards and expectations for meat processing.

Over the years, Renegade’s Meat Processing has evolved to provide custom processing services for deer, cattle, swine, sheep, and goats. A custom slaughter facility is a slaughter facility that does not have a state or federal inspector on duty, which means that the meats from these facilities are not considered state- or federally-inspected meats. These establishments ARE regularly inspected (by the state) for overall sanitation, but the animals themselves are not inspected for disease.

In 2019, the present owners began to pursue Federal Inspection approval for Beef Processing. They began construction on the expansion of the facility to accommodate this goal in 2020 and we are proud to say that by February of 2025 Renegade’s Meat Processing achieved that goal and is now USDA certified to process Cattle.

All other animals are processed under the Custom Operation Inspections.
